Dereck Tatman, Ph.D., MBA
Founder, President, and CEO
Dereck Tatman brings over 25 years of industry experience to his role as founder of Intrigue Health, a stealth startup. Dereck has extensive experience in new product and franchise strategy, laboratory operations and corporate infrastructure, international sales, IP licensing, complex dispute resolution as well as strategic corporate partnerships and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to his role at his startup, Dereck served as CEO of Global Genome Center, President and COO of AristaMD, Sr Vice President at COI Pharmaceuticals and in various roles Sequenom, Inc (acquired by LabCorp), including Senior Vice President, Business Development and Operations, where he was responsible for laboratory operations and IT, international sales and domestic managed care relationships. In these roles, he led efforts to establish noninvasive prenatal testing as a new testing standard within the company and markets around the world, including providing access to testing in nearly 90 countries.
Dereck received his MBA from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University. He received his Ph.D. in chemistry and biochemistry from Arizona State University, where he studied photodynamic therapy, and his B.A. in chemistry from Wabash College.
Dereck enjoys supporting his two boys with innovative delish meals, and then burning off those calories with long runs.
Ron McCullough, Ph.D., MBA
Founder and Chief Scientific Officer
Ron McCullough has been an innovator in the pharmaceutical and clinical diagnostic industry for over 20 years. He specializes in developing innovative ideas into operationally viable products with a keen eye on the patient and clinician experience.
Prior to his founding role at Intrigue Ron was the General manager at LabCorp and Integrated Genetics, as well as holding several executive leadership roles in various early innovative diagnostic laboratories, most notable was his role at Sequenom bringing non-invasive prenatal testing to the world.
He received his Ph.D. in molecular biology and biochemistry from Boston University with a focus on genetics, and his B.S. in chemistry and biochemistry from University of Arizona. Additionally, Ron received his MBA from the University of San Diego specializing in organizational leadership and entrepreneurship.
Ron spends his downtime gardening and cooking with his kids or running along the coast with his wife, that is when he isn’t working on some project around the house.
